Let Me Clear Something Up

Sorry readers for not posting anything yesterday. I was busy as all get out. Working class teen here!

Anyways, today I was thinking about how the kinda person who reads this stuff may thinking about rednecks. I bet most of the people out there think we're all backwards people, how ever that really isn't true. So, I decided to come out with a new segment that addresses misconceptions about my people.

Today I tackle the subject of homophobia.

Myth: All Southern rednecks hate homosexuals.

Truth: In many cases (excludes the radical Christians who I wouldn't consider rednecks, to uptight) this is the exact opposite of the truth. Rednecks believe in the concept of live and let live or if you prefer:

I mean think of it, rednecks are the truest conservatives, right? And what do real conservative want? For the government to stay the hell out of what they're doing. I mean we don't want anybody coming here and telling us which guns we can buy. Therefore, we don't want the same person telling anybody who they should love. We want freedom, dang it. Complete freedom.

I'm sure you could go up to your neighborhood redneck and ask their feelings on this subject. I'm sure you would find out that they're not 100% comfortable with the idea, but they're okay with it. I know the last thing they'll want is for the government to interfere with it. Take it from me, one of my best friends is lesbian, and get mad as hell whenever anybody talks bad of her because who she loves. One thing you should know about rednecks is that we watch our friends back.

What it really comes down to is we don't care if you like dudes or chicks. We'll judge you by the person you are. Other than that Hank said it best:

Spot light on: David Allen Coe

Now this man, David Allen Coe is a raw freaking legend. He reigns from Akron, OH. As most people in the Outlaw genre he started out with mainstream hits like:

But not long after that he broke away from the mainstream mainstream and joined the outlaw mainstream which produced this timeless sing along classic:

Then he went raw outlaw and was very far removed from any mainstream when this beauty came out:

He's a legend, with out a doubt. He's still with us and touring.

Also, he has killed a man. When he was in prison, he killed a man who demanded oral sex from him. If you can't rock out to this guy, who can you rock out to?

Stay hard y'all

NASCAR Prediction

I've been thinking about it all off season, and this NASCAR season will be one hell of a season. Here's my projected top 10 as how it'll be at the end of the year
1. Jimmie Johnson- There really is no stopping this guy. As long as he has Chad on his box he's good to go for six.
2. Kevin Harvick- Simple, Budweiser, get money, get paid, go fast win.
3. Denny Hamlin- The young charger was really bringing it towards the end of '10 look for the same in '11.
4. Tony Stewart- (my favorite driver) Third year as a owner/driver, excuses are out. Needs to finish the year, unlike last.
5. Kasey Kahne- Wow, this guy is in actually good equipment.
6. Kyle Busch- He'll never go away, look for him to stay around for awhile.
7. Jamie Mcmurrey- Several big wins last year, look for him to have more.
8. Juan Pablo Montoya- as much I hate him, I really think he'll finally break the top ten this year.
9. Joey Lagano- Yes! It's time for this boy to become a man.
10. Jeff Gordon- For some reason, I'm not feeling a good season for him this year after that piss poor Chase.

By the way, doesn't nascar.com look more slick this year, I like it.

Stay hard, y'all.

Smell that?

Yeah, it's the smell of NASCAR in the year. Oh lord, I've been waiting for next Sunday when the checkered flag dropped on Homestead. But, this Saturday night at 7 CST the shoot at happens.

Good God, it's Speed Week!

Spotlight On: Tom T. Hall

This is going to be semi-regular bit that I'll do. Pretty much I'm just going to tell you about a guy and post some videos of him doing what he does.

Today the spotlight is on the great Tom T. Hall. Well most of you interweberz may not be so familiar with this Southern man from Kentucky, but you should be. He really is one of the greater story tellers of all time. His songs rarely feature choruses. He's telling a story, all the way through.

Please note they're in no particular order.

I hope you enjoy Tom T. for the legend he really is. Fortunately he is still with us.

Stay hard, y'all.
